Patient profiles explained
Health records the patient owns and controls.
What it is
A patient profile holds conditions, allergies, medications and documents in one place, under My health.
Who can see it
Only providers you have granted access to. Access is requested by the provider or offered by you, and can be withdrawn at any moment. Nothing in a patient profile is ever public, and no other vendor can see it.
At the appointment
An approved provider sees your profile alongside the appointment, which removes the paper form and reduces mistakes.
Clinical notes
Notes written by a practitioner belong to that practice and are visible to you in summary. Internal notes are not shared between practices.
Deleting
You can remove entries or the whole profile. Clinical records the provider must retain by law stay with the provider.
